Food merchant booths cost more than non-food merchant booths due to additional labor, resources, and expenses on the back-end that OKGO Market incurs. This includes, but is not limited to, working with the THD to ensure that all commercial food merchant products are within the regulations of being able to sell outside merchant's normal commercial kitchen, working with the event hosting center to ensure that food merchant products are not in violation of fixed hosting center brands, and ensuring that cottage food merchant products and distribution follow all laws and ordinances of the Oklahoma Home Baking Act.
Additionally, OKGO Market incurrs unavoidable added fees from the event hosting center anytime food items are sold on the grounds.

Yes. OKGO Market sets limits on each of its 9 categories and merchant booths are given on a first come, first served basis. This ensures that each event provides a well-rounded and well-balanced marketplace experience for shoppers. Therefore, OKGO Market implements a 30-day sign & pay policy that starts from the day that approval is sent to the merchant. However, if your category becomes full even before your 30-day sign & pay period ends, your application will be moved to the WAITLIST. See #24 below for additional information on this situation.
-
No. Reconciling your booth invoice is the only way to guarantee a spot at the market. If your category (or subcategory) reaches maximum capacity at any time prior to your booth invoice being reconciled (regardless of the 30-day pay period), your application will be moved to the WAITLIST until a spot becomes available. In the event that a space opens up under your category or subcategory as a result of another merchant within your category pulling out, merchants on the waitlist will be contacted in the order in which they originally applied. Please note that once you are contacted, you will have 24 hours to respond & pay your invoice. If we do not hear from you by the end of the 24-hour period, we will move to the next application in line on the waitlist.

A subcategory buyout option is available for merchants seeking exclusive rights to sell a particular type of product. This option provides an opportunity for merchants to differentiate themselves by being the sole vendor within their chosen subcategory, enhancing visibility and potentially increasing sales. The buyout option is subject to availability and must be confirmed during the application process. Interested merchants should indicate their desire for buyout exclusivity at the time that approval is sent. OKGO Market retains full authority to assess and authorize category and subcategory buyout requests, taking into account event management factors such as market equilibrium and attendee satisfaction.
Exclusive subcategory buyout options are only available if a subcategory does not have any fully registered merchants secured at the time of the buyout request. OKGO Market will not remove any merchants in order to fulfill a buyout request. Once one or more merchants complete full registration within a subcategory, the buyout option is no longer available for that subcategory. -
